Have you ever wondered why God placed you on this earth? Have you ever wondered the purpose of your existence? Often in prayer, I ask God to show me his will for my life. I pray this prayer almost every day! I feel as though I sound like a broken record to God. “God, why am I here?” or “God what is my purpose on earth?” …… As I hear a cricket in the background, I still hear hardly a whisper! God, why are we here on earth? Finally, I heard a faint whisper as I read scripture which says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2). God clearly expresses His will for our lives! To fulfill the law of Christ, we place each other upon our shoulders. Jesus carried the burden of our sins on His back! Jesus carried our sins on the cross. Jesus mirrored our purpose. Jesus showed us that our purpose on earth is to carry each other. The task was not easy for Jesus to carry our burdens. And the task will not be easy for us to carry another’s burdens. Though Jesus teaches us, our purpose on earth and His will on earth is to CARRY ONE ANOTHER!
