“Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.” (Proverbs‬ ‭7:2)

Every goal in life is only achieved by keeping focus. Life comes with many distractions. Distractions may seem small in the moment, but they blur our focus from our goals. Distractions in the end could lead us where we never intended to go. How often do we walk into a store for one item, and come out with many other items? This happens often with me! 😊 My best shopping happens when I bring a shopping list and focus on what I need. If we walk through the isles of life without a “shopping list”, we could get distracted. In the life of a Christian, Jesus calls us to focus on Him. In good times, focus on Him. In trying times, focus on Him. In times of confusion, center Him.

When You, Jesus, become the apple of our eyes….everything else in our peripheral vision will look fuzzy or unclear. Jesus blur the distractions in our lives, so we can focus on You. Amen.
