God Does Not Call the Qualified…..He Qualifies the Called

 How often do we feel unqualified or unfit for a certain position, career, or title? I hear many people say that they refuse to go to the gym. What is the main excuse? Most people feel that they need to be in shape BEFORE they go to a gym. This mentality makes no sense. The gym is a place to go to get in shape and increase your health! This mentality is saying, “I must be qualified to go before I go.”

This mindset is so backward from what is true. “We go to become qualified.” The enemy in our lives will do everything possible to make us feel inadequate, insecure, and unworthy. The enemy in our lives will leap bounds and plan every scheme possible to keep us in this mindset. But why would the enemy go so far and work so hard to keep our spirits low? The enemy knows that if you feel unqualified, unfit, or unworthy of your position; He can dwindle your power and effectiveness.

All throughout the Bible, God called people who were unworthy, unfit, or inadequate for their position. Moses led many but stuttered when he spoke. David was a ruler but had an affair. These setbacks did not stop God from using them for His purpose. God used their weakness for goodness. When the enemy of our lives comes to dwindle our worthiness, remember God already paid the price with His Son Jesus Christ. Living the Christian life does not mean we must be perfect, but we must KNOW PERFECTLY THAT JESUS DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD! God does not call the qualified…but GOD QUALIFIES THE CALLED!

“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)
